Zurich – As part of the strategic development of the Swiss Startup Factory, the Accelerator continues to recruit very selected high-profile personalities for its Advisory Board.
The Swiss Startup Factory (SSUF) looks back on two and a half successful years during which it has positioned itself as an independent and privately financed Startup Accelerator in Switzerland. After more than 1’500 start-up applications in 2016 alone, they completed two outstanding Accelerator batches, aided by the expertise of more than 50 mentors. Through the co-founding of ten young Swiss companies and the strategic partnerships with companies such as Helvetia, Goldbach Group, AMAG and Red Bull Media House the Swiss Startup Factory is now ideally positioned to proceed to a next development phase.
Passion, hard work, achieving extraordinary goals
Working with the best Startup teams in a very early stage phase is comparable with working with top sports athletes. Both have a very similar DNA in terms of passion, hard work, achieving extraordinary goals and at the same time dealing with failure and uncertainty. Planning and executing a successful sports professional season is very comparable to a Startup accelerator program with clear milestones and the execution focus. Stan Wawrinka comments: “I look very much forward to support the Swiss Startup Factory and the Startup teams with my experience as a high performing sports professional. My career slogan certainly also counts for every Swiss Startup team: Ever tried. Ever failed. No matter. Try Again. Fail again. Fail better.»
Max Meister, Co-Founder and CEO Swiss Startup Factory comments: «We are very honored that such a role model like Stan Wawrinka commits his time to the Swiss Startup Factory and Switzerland’s young entrepreneurs. Stan’s professional sports journey shows to every Swiss Startup team that nothing is impossible.»
The Advisory Board of the Swiss Startup Factory actively supports the Accelerator in strategic topics and opens doors to key stakeholders. (SSUF/mc/hfu)
